About this work

Description

Correspondence regarding a talk delivered to Medical Scientist Trainees at the University of California, San Diego, 18 January, 1977.

The file includes a set of speaking notes (6 sheets, holograph), which suggest that the talk was given on 16 January rather than 18 January.

A pencil note ("Story about a discovery: phase-shift mutants") at the foot of a letter from the Program Director, and a photocopy in the file of Crick, et al. (1961), "General nature of the genetic code for proteins" provides, in addition to the speaking notes, a good indication of the subject of Crick's talk.
