This two-hour programme launches a series of programmes on Radio 4 looking at all aspects of memory. Here Mariella Frostrup and Dr. Mark Porter introduce the biggest ever experiment into collective memory with contributions from listeners, specialist guests and celebrities. The series of programmes aim to create a national conversation on memory and examine what we remember and why. Tips on how to improve memory come from Professor Roy Jones. Guests including novelist Esther Freud, MP Betty Boothroyd, sports commentator Murray Walker, Bob Geldoff, John Humphrys and Ken Clarke provide anecdotes about memory. Professor Peter Hepper talks about memory in the womb and Dr. Eileen Tracy describes how best to revise for exams.
