    CLEANSING MEDICINE FOR A t COW AFTER CALVING. Take—^Turmeric, one ounce, .j- Aniseed, one ounce. •: Liquorice Powder, one ounce. Cumminseed, one ounce. Birthwort Powder, two ounces. ^ ' Spermaceti, two ounces. Grains of Paradise, one ounce. Castile Soap, one ounce. Mix, these for two doses; one to be given to the beast in a quart of warm ale ; and repeated the second morning following, if required.
