Description

Ancient Egyptian ivory tube carved in the shape of a woman with a headdress, possible for holding stibnite (antimonite), used as a medicine and cosmetic. The item was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1917 (accession number 6457) but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
