About this work

Description

The ninth in a ten-part series in which Dr Geoff Bunn journeys through 5000 years of our understanding of the brain. In this part, he focuses on neurochemistry and the MRI scanner but points out that this kind of analysis of the brain alone would not be enough to explain its complexity, taking as an example an analysis of a section of Einstein's brain. As part of the programme, actors read extracts from those who have written about the brain across the ages.
