PRELIMINARY Eemarks.—I am indebted to Dr. Burnet for the . sPecimen 011 which the present paper is based. After showing it to me he exhibited the liver to the Pathological Society as a card specimen and it may be well to quote here the remarks which were made on that occasion.1 The specimen was removed from the body of a man, aged 63 who was admitted into the B County Asylum on July 20th, 188l' and d»d there April 3rd, 1885. When admitted he was in feeble health and melancholic.
