Description
The scene in the yard of the Bell Inn where a waggon has stopped. Moll in a country dress carries a pin-cushion and a pair of scissors, stands with her luggage including a dead goose in a basket brought as a gift. A clergyman sits on a horse oblivious to the ensuing encounter. Mother Needham has prominent beauty spots on her face, probably makeup to disguise disease. Charteris was a convicted rapist
