rnSTIMONIALS. From HECTOR C. Cameron, Professor of Clinical Surgery in the University of Glasgow. 200 Bath Street, Glasgow, 23rd June, 1906. I HAVE known John Stoddart Barr, M.B., Ch.B., since his boyhood. I had an opportunity of judging of his capabilities and earnestness during his student days, when he was a member of my class ; and again when, during six months, he acted as my house-surgeon in the Glasgow Western Infirmary (1902-03). From this experience I have been led to form a high opinion both of his character and of his professional qualifications. Since that time he has greatly added to his equipment of knowledge by a prolonged course of clinical and pathological study in various Continental Schools as well as in London, Manchester, etc. These studies no doubt had special reference to Diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat ; but I know Dr. Barr’s knowledge of general surgery to be also both ample and accurate. He informs me that he is at present a candidate for one of the junior surgical posts on the out-door staff of the Western Infirmary. For such a position I regard him as thoroughly well qualified ; and the success of his application will give me sincere pleasure. HECTOR C. CAMERON.
