Description

Abbot may be George Abbot (15621633), Archbishop of Canterbury, or his brother Robert Abbot (1559/1560-1618), bishop of Salisbury. Hall appears to be Joseph Hall (1574-1656), bishop of Exeter and subsequently Norwich, and satirist. The subject of the last portrait is unidentified: only the first two letters of his name (Ha) are visible
