"Bills of fare" (menus) for the SS Mooltan, a P&O steamship, during August - October 1872.

The food offered is a mix of European and Indian, with curry served regularly.

Dates represented: August 3rd, 18th-23rd (two menus carry date 21st and none the 22nd), 26th-27th, 29th-30th; September 1st-2nd, 4th-5th, 7th-22nd, 24th-29th; October 1st-2nd.

Biographical note

The S.S. Mooltan was operated by the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P. & O.), which dominated travel between Britain and its eastern colonies during the late 19th century.
