The acid vapours * The following is the compofition of thefe fumigating powders, as publlfhed by the Council of Health. (See Or- raus^ p. 136, 137.) The Jlrong antipejiilential powder confifted of juniper tops (cut fmall,) guaiacum (havings, juniper berries, bran, of each 6 fe, nitre Sffe, fulphur 6]^, myrrh aft, 7'he weaker antipejiilential powder confifted of the herb abrotanum 6ife, juniper tops 4J5, juniper berries 3|fe, nitre 4lfe, fulphur 2f Jfe, myrrh i|ife. The odoriferous antipejiilential powder confifted of cala- mus aromaticus 3 jfe, frankincenfe 2}fe, amber I jfe, ftorax and dried rofcs, of each |fc, myrrh ifc, nitre ife 8 oz. fulphur 4 oz.
