About this work

Description

Psychologists and sociologists discuss their research into the reasons behind violent crime. Is it primarily a social problem or could there be a genetic explanation? They consider the influence of poverty, violent family relationships, criminal parents, divorce and single-parent families, and examine brainwave patterns, physical characteristics and serotonin levels. Among those taking part are Prof. Richard Lynn (Ulster University), Prof. Robert Plomin (Pennsylvania University) and Dr. Eric Taylor (Medical Research Council).
