Description
This image shows a very thin membrane of carbon (0.00000002 metres, or 20 nanometres, thick), produced by heating organic matter to high temperatures under vacuum. In bulk these membranes make up a foam which can have suitable properties for orthopedic implants.
This image covers an area of 0.04 x 0.06 millimetres.
