About this work

Description

1) Andrew Bell reports on the trial of four doctors involved in France's contaminated blood scandal. What did the doctors know? 1500 haemophiliacs became infected after receiving blood products contaminated with the AIDS virus and 250 have since died. Today ex-Prime Minister M. Fabius, and two former ministers, are to take the witness box. 2) The AIDS Conference in Amsterdam has just finished. One paper claimed to have discovered a third form of AIDS. Prof. Luke Montagne said this was nonsense. 500,000 now have HIV in Europe. 3) Steve Jones interviews Dr Patrick Dixon about the apparent new strain of HIV/AIDS. and he thinks there will be new mutations. While many perceive AIDS as mostly infecting homosexuals, in fact more heterosexuals are infected.
