About this work

Description

Beginning and ending with a scene of childbirth, World of the Unborn analyses the reproductive process by means of microscope photography. It begins with an explanation of human genetics, shows cell division, both microscopically and with graphics, discusses the structure and function of DNA, and shows a 5000x magnified photograph of the human egg with sperm about to penetrate it. A misguided attempt to add a lyrical strikes an awkward note in an otherwise excellent educational film.
