About this work

Description

Leprosy: diagnosis and testing - sensory testing This health worker is testing a patient for sensory loss by blindfolding her and touching the skin with a blunt point. She then asks the patient to indicate where the point is felt. Patients can also be tested for loss of sensation to pain (by pin prick) and to temperature (with test tubes containing hot and cold water). Note the loss of digits from the patient's right hand.
