AD 1700?) was a Sant author who composed an anthology of devotional verses in the WIHM collection. The NPS search reports contain references to three poets by this name, however it is not possible to say whether any of them are the same Sivânanda who composed this work. [NPS 1964 II: p. 464.] Work: A fair incomplete copy of this work. It is an anthology of songs ( pada ). The padas are set to various ragas and are composed in the dohä, caupäi, savaiyä and kavitta metres in an Eastern variety of Hindi. They are divided by headings such as; Ganga sturi, Devi sturi, Brahmanirupana, Räsimälä, Püjä, Arati, Kakaharä (an acrostic) and Sabda. 463 Shelf mark: MS Indic.a 699; ff. 19 (1-19); size: 11x17 cm; loose folios, machine-made paper; 7 lines of 12 cm per page; text in black ink, headings in red ink, no margins; rough Devanagari; complete; copied in Brahmapura (possibly: Varanasi (suburb Brahmapura), Varanasi district, Uttar Pradesh); dated Sarpvat 1886 (1829). ^ UÌHKIH R) CS VO 7 Surja puräna pothi by Sltäräma (2) Begins: ll^ J I U ÌAIWHH:II <M*pfq*FTII StfTII 3nfèïïäf:II WTRT f^H fïïFFR ^I-T : ^ ïïRT : Il Ends: ^TII fe? 3ÏÏT# 3R 3R ^ *íidKIH 3# ^ ÏÏTfll Colophon: tl-jf ïïNÎ ^PT-f I ^rP-P-IIIII H iti ^ I ^CsvO CSSDS3S3 VD \ TRII^RT^^TI ?ccÇ| WTFIH^m:|l TTÏÏ ^FT Author: Sltäräma (date unknown) was the author of a Hindi version of the Sürya Puräna. It is unlikely that he is the same author as the Sltäräma who composed a medical work. (See: Sltäräma (1) in the chapter on medicine.) Work: A rough complete copy of this work. It consists of around 40 stanzas composed in the dohä and caupäi metres. It is a Hindi version of the story of Sürya the sun god which is based on the account in the Sürya Puräna. 464 Shelf mark: MS Hindi.244.08; ff. 67 [273a-339b] (foliated 273-286, no further foliation); size: 22 X 19 cm; gutakx, plain cotton cloth over red cotton cloth on card cover; 28 lines of 15 cm per page; text in black ink, headings and margins in red ink; neat Devanagari; complete; undated, 18th century.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b20086027_0257.JP2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
