It is possible that he is the Mohanaläla, son of Kesava, mentioned in the NPS search reports who came from Kumhare in the Bharatpur district and was active c. Samvat 1837-1845 (AD 1780— 1788). However, none of the works in the WIHM manuscript are mentioned in the NPS search reports. [NPS 1964 II: p. 184.] Work: A fair complete copy of this work. It consists of 159 stanzas mostly in the dohä and caupal metres.
