    e.g. The average in five cases of Cabot’s. Lymphocytes, 95.9 per cent. Finely granular oxyphiles, 3 04 per cent. Myelocytes, 07 per cent. Eosinophiles, 0-36 per cent. The examination of the blood and the dis-'i covery of such an extraordinary increase in the percentage of lymphocytes distinguish lymphatic leuchaemia with certainty from Hodgkin’s disease and other conditions causing glandular enlarge-- ments or enlargement of the spleen. In splenic anaemia the red blood corpuscles and the percentage of haemoglobin are diminished and there is no leucocytosis. I see my time is up, but I hope the frag- mentary remarks I have made to-day will be of service to you and will stimulate you to make more elaborate blood examinations. I allude particularly to the making and staining of blood films.
