    Hospital is not included in the above amount. This work was undertaken by the lady members of the Board, and about £150 was required for the purpose, this expense being met from the Suspense Account. A list of those who have helped with gifts of money or kind are included elsewhere in this report, and are warmly thanked. A review of the Income and Expenditure for the Maintenance of the Hospital during the past year shows that the increase of expenditure over the previous year amounts to £286 18s. 4d., whilst the Income is increased by £127 10s. 5d., leaving a deficit for the year of £161 6s. 2d. In conclusion, it is realised that the enlarged Hospital must necessarily mean increased cost for maintenance, but the Board feel confident that the additions made cannot fail to assist the work at the Hospital and provide greater facilities for those requiring treatment, and that the necessary increased support will be forthcoming to enable the work to be carried on with efficiency.
