The hospitals were referred to as Homerton Fever Hospital and Homerton Smallpox Hospital before 1882, Eastern District Fever Hospital and Eastern District Smallpox Hospital in 1883 and Eastern Fever Hospital and eastern Smallpox Hospital in 1884.
