The descriptions of the artworks are taken from notes written by Wellcome staff during conversations with Rita Simon between 1995 and 1997. Artworks are mostly drawn in felt pen, and on lined paper. Common images include people, local scenery, and animals. None of the artworks have been classified by Rita Simon. An additional artwork is in PP/RSI/B/2/7/75.

Biographical note

A woman who worked in community art, who was with Rita Simon between 1975 and 1984. She had been ill, recovered, and painted with joy. She harvested felt pens, and dipped them in water to get pale colours. The felt pens are not permanent. Rita Simon helped her to put on an exhibition of her artworks.
