    during the past year. Mr. Percy Chadwick (Vice-Chairman, Hospital Saturday and Convalescent Homes Fund) said the value of the work of the Man¬ chester Ear Hospital was greatly appreciated. He had always felt a special interest in its work and was very glad to note that it had received an increased grant from the Hospital Saturday Fund during the past year. He moved that the best thanks of the meeting be given to the General Committee, and Honorary Officers, and the appointment of those specified in the list on page 1. Mr. Nathan Laski, in seconding, said it was a great pleasure to be present in support of the Hospital. As Chairman of a Hos¬ pital he realised that the need of hospital service was so urgent that all who have anything should contribute towards their support. There were many in Manchester able to contribute and if personal contact could be made with these he was sure more would be given. Mr. R. S. Milford read the report of the Medical Board and moved the following resolution: That the best thanks of the Meeting be given to the Hon. Medical Officers for their valuable services during the year. In doing so he said it needed no words to realize the indis¬ pensable nature of the services rendered by the Hon. Medical and Surgical Staff, nor was it possible for words adequately to express the indebtedness of the Hospital for such devoted service. Mr. W. A. C. Leaf (Hon. Treasurer) seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. The best thanks of the meeting were tendered to Sir Chris¬ topher Needham for presiding and for many services willingly rendered to the Hospital. The resolution was moved by Mr. G. St. C. Robertson, seconded by Mr. J. T. Pollard, and carried by acclamation.
