Molecular model based on the crystal structure of vascular endothelial growth factor-b (VEGF-b, in green) in complex with VEGF Receptor-1 (VEGFR-1 domain 2, in yellow). the complex is displayed inside a blood vessel containing red blood cells, as this complex is indispensable to vascular survival.
