Description
On the tomb are three allegorical figures: (left) Saint George killing the dragon; (right) a woman accompanied by a lion and holding a medal (Britannia?); and (above) a woman playing the harp (Hibernia?). Top, armour (Cadogna's military work) and palm fronds (reward for merit). Lower left, thistles, representing Cadogan's membership of the Order of the Thistle. Centre, coat of arms, presumably of Earl Cadogan
