L'alcool est le plus redoubtable ennemi de la famille. Il fait de l'homme une brute, de la femme, une martyre, de l'enfant, un dégénéré. N'en buvons jamais. The sculpture bears the inscription "La Paye", meaning both "payday" (on which money is wasted on drink) and "payback" (the drink's punishment of the drinker). At the foot of the print, names and addresses of five French anti-alcohol organizations
