Description

A photograph showing a tick embedding on the eyelid of a child. Ticks can be picked up whilst walking through or playing in long grass. The head of the tick can be seen embedded into the skin. Ticks are common in urban locations, typically parks and fields, most tick bites are not harmful but ticks can be vectors of some diseases most commonly lyme disease.
