Notes
Includes extracts from Guy de Chauliac's Chirurgia magna; an epitome (by Jean Brèche?) of books 1-3 of Galenus' De compositione medicamentorum per genera, erroneously attributed in the printer's epistle (p. 4) to Martin Grégoire; "De la nature vertu & faculté de la racine du bois appellé Lesquine" (by Thibault Lespleigney); translations (by Pierre Tolet) of Galenus' De curandi ratione per venae sectionem, De hirudinibus, and De tumoribus praeter naturam; Jean Canappe's translation of Galenus' De motu musculorum; and Pierre Verney's translations of Hippocrates' Prognostica and Jusjurandum. These last two versions are erroneously ascribed to Jean Canappe in the printer's epistle (p. 5)
