Description

Juan de la Cosa asks the standing soldier to tell his commander Alonso de Ojeda how he died (Xerez, op. cit.). He had advised Ojeda not to land in Turbaco on account of the use of poisoned arrows by the local inhabitants, which caused his death (Xerez, op. cit. p. LXXXII )
