The file comprises:
1. Single letter-sheet headed "Kepler Combinations" followed by remarks on posting "Blotting Books".
2. Letter from the Department of Trade and Customs, Melbourne (16 April, 1883), advising that Kepler Extract of Malt is free of import duty. Verso, in Burroughs's hand, full-page commentary on the decsion and the opportunities it provides. "As the Extract of Malt will now be admitted duty free the Combinations will also [be] probably admitted also. This gives us an admirable opportunity to introduce the Combinations here. They will also be free in New South Wales but [we] will have to pay 10% in South Australia."
3. Date slip: "Received July 25th 1883".
