About this work

Description

Contains also notes and cuttings of secretion of green milk and black colestrum. On green and other abnormal coloration of faeces. On coloration of urine from picric acid. On blue or other abnormal colour of vomit. On colouration of the urine due to articles of food (eg some fungi), medicines, aniline dyes etc, taken by the mouth; or due to aniline dyes etc injected under the skin or into the muscles. On 'carotinaemia' and 'pseudo-icteric xanthosis' of various kinds, cutaneous xanthosis in diabetes mellitus etc. Ochrodermatosis (Castellani). Xanthochromia cutis (French writers). On 'indigo-uria'. On colouration of skin as well as of urine from intravenous or intramuscular injection of 'indigo-carmine' as a test. Hyperlipochromia and hyperliperchromaemia (Stannus, etc). On subject of 'indicanuria', 'melaninuria' etc see also my collection on 'Urinary pigments and indicanuria'. Green conjunctivae etc from copper. Coloured effusions in serous cavities (for comparison): black pleural effusion (from anthracosis). Orange colouration of sweat and lacrimal secretion from face powder (chromidrosis etc).
