Lettering

Feigned sorrow or the prudent husband. With grief the good wife dims her eye, and cries, or rather seems to cry. Good b'wye my dear, farewell. But George too trusty e'er to fail, Has told his master such a tale. A tale I must not tell. Surpriz'd how well the wanton weeps, He, worthy man the secret keeps; Most husbands hide their shame. And Betty in the doorway sly, Holds up her fingers to imply They'll play the other game.
