Description

Saint Peter Martyr was a Dominican friar who zealously hunted down heretics. He was murdered in a forest by two assassins hired by Venetian Catharists. He is shown with a martyr's palm; a chipped sword lies on the ground below. In the background a man is fleeing (presumably an assassin)
