Copy 1 Note: 39 cm. First (blank) leaf mostly cut away. Binding: 15th century stamped pigskin on wooden boards with brass cornerpieces, clasps and bosses.
Copy 2 Supplier/Donor: Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, 5 - 10 December 1898. Note: 40 cm. Bound with Bernardus, Epistolae et tractatus. Rubricated, capitals painted in red. Inscription on front endpaper recording the purchase of the two works by Wilhelm Czwerd in 1474 and their presentation, with several other books, to the Carthusian monastery at Fogelsanck (Cantave) in 1496. Book label of William Morris Kelmscott House. Note by Sydney Cockerell on flyleaf, 'The same watermark, a rose with 8 or 9 petals, occurs in both these books, which are stated to have been bought in 1474.'
