About this work

Description

The eleventh attempt to amend the Abortion Act came from Lord Robertson of Oakridge who sponsored a Bill in the House of Lords. He wanted to add two words: serious and substantial, meaning that there had to be a serious or substantial risk to the health of the mother to get an abortion. Again this did not pass.

This file includes correspondence, press cuttings, and a copy of the House of Lords official report.
