Description

Collection of extracts, receipts, notes, etc. on alchemy and chemistry, including a large proportion from the writings of Hollandus: in Dutch and German, by various hands. On verso of l. 59 small pen-drawings of alchemical apparatus: the work on ll. 75-91 is illustrated by symbolic pencil-drawn figures. Physical description

1 volume 13 ll. + 171 ff. + 103 ll. (last bl.). 4to. 201/2 x 16 cm. Original vellum binding defective. Ff. 35, 36, 84 and 2 ll. before l. 74 wanting: some margins frayed at beginning and end. Between ff. 102 and 103, six leaves and a small slip are inserted.
