    feveral years, without terminating in either of thofe difeafes. The hyfteria, to which females are frequently fubjed, feems par- ticularly conneded with thefe fymptoms; but they do not always accompany each other. There are many patients, who are continually complaining of fome of thofe feniations which have been defcribed, who have never been vifited by an hyfteric paroKyfm ; and, on the other hand, there have been many who are occafionally fub-- je£t to what are called hyfteric fits, who have, in the interval of paroxyfms, been free from the fymptoms we have enu- merated.
