Description
Either a leaflet or magazine insert probably issued in the 1880s advertising Mother Seigel's Curative Syrup, pills, plasters, malt cough balsam and Seigel's Ointment as manufactured by A.J. White Limited at 35, 37, 39 and 43, Farringdon Road, London, E.C. The syrup cured dyspepsia, constipation and worms in children. There is a portrait of Mother Seigel in line on the reverse, whereas the front is an attractive colour snow scene showing a young woman in a long, dark blue dress with a red shawl wrapped around her head and shoulders carrying an armful of mistletoe, walking along a path as it snows. The sun is setting behind her and a robin watches her from the top of a fence post.
