Two minute news item about the Wellcome Trust funded project of artist Paddy Hartley and Ian Thompson, Maxillofacial Surgeon at King's College. Hartley designs masks and his 'face corsets' are being developed as pressure dressings for burns victims. Thompson explains that ions from the glass that will be on the inside of the mask will aid the healing process. Hartley talks of the aesthetic quality of the masks, which should be available to patients in the next two years.
