Oct. 6. Thirty-fivevaimxnAo'&es of the iron tincture. Oct. 20. Cured and discharged. Granted, that the cure was effected in both cases by the remedial means used, will not the comparison between the means employed in each case establish the superiority of the homoeopathic ? Here are tasteless medicines, nocuous only to the disease, perfectly uninjurious to the general constitution, effecting a cure. On the other hand, in the other case, we have a painful, surgical operation—cupping; then a most disgusting, offensive, and injurious medical action, by mercury, ending in salivation; and not ending in this, for the production of salivation is attended with a modi- fication of the constitutional state, favourable to the production of what are miscalled rheumatic affections, but which strictly are mercurial diseases. The man is castor-oiled as well: and, then having pulled his constitution down, they have to build him up by tonics, as they are named or rather misnamed. In the homoeopathic treatment there is no need oi tonics:](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b21050971_0138.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
