Description

The second in a six-part documentary about real-life cases of poisoning, looking in particular at how poisons affect the body and featuring the work of the Medical Toxicology Unit in South East London. This part looks at the toxic dangers of mundane objects, with case studies, including the story of a baby who swallowed a lithium battery, a little girl who got lead poisoning from old paintwork in a house and a serious mercury contamination which occurred in Manchester.
