About this work

Description

Small handbill advertising Marian Holland (the Giant Amazon Queen) starring in the operetta, Babil and Bijou at the Alhambra Theatre in London from July 10th 1882. She was born on January 31 1866 in Benkendorf, Germany, and was 8 feet 2 inches tall at the time. The leaflet is printed in black and red on cream paper. Includes an illustration of her in full costume standing next to a very small looking man.
