Description
The "Land- und Hauswirtschaftlicher Auswertungs- und Informationsdienst" was founded on 5 May 1950 as part of the Marshall Plan, with the aim of improving agriculture and nutrition by the application of scientific knowledge. It later changed its name to Auswertungs- und Informationsdienst für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Forsten, known by the acronym "aid" : http://www.verbraucherministerium.de/forschungsreport/rep1-00/aid.htm
