Description

Cours de matière médicale. The last four ll. of the text contain various medical notes, and the date 1815. There are two pen-drawings of the female sexual organs before and after defloration. Though the title of this MS. is as given above, it consists mainly of extracts from the author's 'Cours élémentaire de matière médicale' published at Paris in 1789. These extracts deal chiefly with electricity, animal magnetism, and baths. Produced in Paris.

Biographical note

The author qualified at the Faculté de Médecine, Paris in 1772 and served for thirty years as physician to the Hôpital de la Charité, where he lectured on clinical medicine.
