Description

Photograph of two lithotomes, 18th century. The lithotome on the left was invented by Frere Come, and the double-bladed instrument on the right by Dupuytren in 1824. These items were accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum (R11450; R24111) but are not held by Wellcome Collection.
