Image of a boxfoot Cuff microscope made in the mid to late eighteenth century supposedly by Magny, microscope maker to King Louis XV of France. The Nachet Collection was a large set of microscopes collected by Albert Nachet and acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum (accession number R224/1949). The microscope is now held by the Science Museum (object number: A60952).
