P.122 misnumbered 124
Imprint on t.p. verso "London: Printed By Samuel Bagster, Jun., 14, Bartholomew Close"
Prepared for the press by Robert Willis (see p.vi)
"Preface To The Third Edition" dated 3 May, 1825, but the whole work appears to be a word-for-word reprint of an earlier third edition printed by William Clowes for Treuttel, Wurtz, and Richter, and dated 1825 in the imprint. The earlier third edition has engraved plates instead of lithographs, and p.122 is numbered correctly. Samuel Bagster, jun. printed at 14 Bartholomew Close between 1830 and 1835 (Philip Brown, London publishers and printers c. 1800-1870, [London] : British Library, 1982, p.7). The lithographs have an imprint line naming the author, who died in 1832, as publisher.
