Leprosy: treatment, traditional medicine

This slide shows burns over the chest and arm of a young boy in Indonesia. A traditional healer has applied acid to patches of leprosy on the chest and arm in an attempt to remove them. Note that this was a local, traditional form of treatment and does not result in bacteriological cure.
