Description

Illustration from an edition of 1599 (27th year of the Wanli reign period of the Ming dynasty). It shows the distribution of various internal organs and viscera, from the front view, i.e. the throat/gullet (houlong), the opening of the pharynx (yanmen, Throat Portal), the lung, the heart, the kidneys, the diaphragm (gemo), the liver, the gall bladder, the small and large intestines, the ileocoecal conjunction (lanmen, Door Screen) and the bladder.
