About this work

Description

3T3 cells growing in culture. They have been stained to show the actin cytoskeleton in green and the DNA in red. The two cells in the centre are undergoing cell division and show the two sets of chromosomes that have pulled apart from each other. Cells that are dividing show a more rounded structure than actively growing cells.
